The RVJNS call paper / articles for publication of original articles (research) & scientific articles dealing with different fields such as Medical-Surgical, Mental Health, Community Health, Maternal and Child Health Nursing, as well as Nursing Education and Administration; case reports related to any of these fields; review articles and columns (short communications pertaining to any discipline in nursing practice, education, and administration).
RV Journal of Nursing Sciences (RVJNS) is an open access scholarly journal. All articles published in the journal undergo a rigorous peer-review process and, upon acceptance, are made immediately and permanently available online for free access. The journal allows readers to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, and link to the full texts of the articles without financial, legal, or technical barriers.
The copyright holder grants usage rights to others through an open license (Creative Commons), permitting users to use the material for any lawful purpose, including indexing, data mining, and academic dissemination, while ensuring proper citation of the original work. Publishing Schedule The journal follows a Quarterly Publication Schedule to ensure timely dissemination of scientific knowledge and research findings. Article Processing Charges (APC) Policy
RV Journal of Nursing Sciences is an open-access, peer-reviewed journal committed to disseminating high-quality scientific knowledge in the field of nursing and healthcare sciences. To support editorial processing, peer review management, DOI registration, online hosting, archiving, and publication services, the journal charges a nominal Article Processing Charge (APC) upon acceptance of the manuscript.

Waiver Policy
The Editor in chief may consider partial waiver/reduction of APC in exceptional cases for:
- Students
- Invited articles
- Special issues
The decision of the Editor in chief regarding APC waiver shall be final.
Refund Policy
- APC once paid is generally non-refundable after publication processing has commenced.
- Refund requests, if any, shall be reviewed by the Editorial Office on a case-by-case basis.

The RV Journal of Nursing Sciences (RVJNS) is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation, accessibility, and availability of all scholarly content published in the journal. The journal recognizes the importance of permanent digital archiving to safeguard published research and ensure continued access to scientific knowledge for researchers, educators, healthcare professionals, and the wider community.
Digital Preservation and Archiving
RVJNS utilizes the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) for the long-term digital preservation of its published content. The PKP Preservation Network is a free preservation service developed by the Public Knowledge Project (PKP) to preserve Open Journal Systems (OJS)-based journals and ensure the continued accessibility of scholarly content in the event that the journal website becomes unavailable.
All eligible published articles, including associated metadata and files, are deposited into the PKP Preservation Network and preserved in a distributed archival system to guarantee long-term availability and accessibility.
Permanent Accessibility
RVJNS is committed to maintaining permanent access to all published articles. In the event of journal discontinuation, content preserved through the PKP Preservation Network will remain accessible through the preservation system in accordance with PKP preservation policies.

RVJNS supports the principles of open access and permits authors to archive and disseminate their work as follows:
Preprint Version
Authors may deposit and share the preprint version (the version before peer review) in institutional repositories, personal websites, academic social networks, or other non-commercial repositories at any time.
Accepted Manuscript Version
Authors may archive the accepted manuscript version (post-peer review and prior to final publication) in institutional or subject repositories, provided that appropriate citation to the published article is included.
Published Version (Version of Record)
Authors are encouraged to share and archive the final published version of their article, including on institutional repositories, personal websites, and academic networking platforms, with full acknowledgment of RV Journal of Nursing Sciences as the original source of publication.
Copyright and Author Rights
Authors retain copyright of their published work. By submitting and publishing in RVJNS, authors grant the journal the right to publish, distribute, and preserve the article while retaining the right to share and archive their work in accordance with this policy.

Long-Term Preservation

Through this repository policy, RVJNS promotes the widest possible dissemination of research findings while maintaining the integrity, visibility, and permanent accessibility of scholarly publications.
Peer Review Process
All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial screening to assess suitability with the journal scope, formatting requirements, ethical compliance, and plagiarism/similarity check using standard plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts meeting the basic requirements are forwarded for double-blind peer review, where both the identities of authors and reviewers are kept confidential.
Each manuscript is reviewed by a minimum of two independent subject experts. Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on originality, scientific quality, methodology, ethical standards, clarity, relevance, and contribution to nursing and healthcare sciences. Based on reviewer comments and recommendations, the Editorial Board may request revision, accept, or reject the manuscript.
The final decision regarding publication is made by the Editor-in-Chief after careful consideration of reviewers’ comments and the revised manuscript.
